Exploring Collage, a two day workshop presented by Eastport Gallery member, JoAnne Houlsen and former member, Deborah Jellison.
In this fun and experimental collage workshop participants will explore techniques and materials for making hand decorated and printed papers. These patterned and custom papers will be used to create a one of a kind collage,
Day 1- After a brief discussion and demonstration of processes, students will visit tables set up for paper decorating and exploring techniques. At the end of the day they will have several different papers to be used for collaging.
Day 2- Teachers will discuss composition and ways to harmonize and refine collages. Gluing methods and layering will be demonstrated as well so that each student will successfully complete 1 12"x12" mixed media piece.
