As an emerging artist, my work is influenced by previous study in wildlife ecology and veterinary science. I examine morphological structures, ecological webs and cycles that amalgamate the organic and inorganic. For me, the careful observation requisite to artmaking acts as a conduit to the larger environment and deepens my appreciation of nature’s exquisite designs. I enjoy exploring different art forms, including oil painting, drawing, pyrography, wood carving and mixed media.
