Joyce is a figurative artist working in oils, pen and ink, pencil, colored pencil, and pastels. She does landscapes, still-lifes, botanical forms, and works extensively from the figure. Her life-long fascination with the dynamics of life and energy has influenced her style and subject matter.

     She has studied at The Maryland Institute in Baltimore, Antioch College and the Visual Arts Center in Columbia, Maryland as well as St. Johns College in Maryland. She now resides in Eastport Maine.
