Alloy Origami was born out of a love for the natural world and a penchant for collecting materials that would normally end up in a landfill. My construction background provides the old metal, wood, and architectural finds, as well as the necessary skills to cut, rivet, bend and fold metal into shapes. Sometimes the art is invented out of imagination, sometimes the found pieces suggest the art, and sometimes a failed attempt creates another animal entirely. Each piece is unique and handmade, and my hope is that the you forget the materials it is made from and see the animal, enjoy its quirk, fun, and beauty.
