Statement
As an artist and librarian based in Bar Harbor, Maine, my interdisciplinary practice explores the intersection of visual storytelling, art, and literature. Drawing from my academic background, having earned a BFA in Painting and Drawing from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and an MS in Library and Information Science from Drexel University, I approach my work with a unique perspective, blending diverse influences and techniques to create meaningful, thought-provoking pieces.

I work primarily with ink, acrylic, charcoal, and printmaking techniques to produce pieces that blur the boundaries between painting and drawing. Each work is an exploration of the stories we tell ourselves and others, and the ways in which these narratives shape our understanding of the world. 
My practice is driven by a deep curiosity about the human experience and the ever-evolving nature of storytelling. I believe that art and literature hold the power to uncover hidden truths and challenge the way we perceive reality, offering new perspectives that encourage introspection and connection. Through my exhibitions in both Philadelphia and Mount Desert Island, Maine, I continue to explore these ideas, building a growing body of work that evolves in both style and concept.

I am excited to apply for membership with the Eastport Gallery as I see it as a vibrant community of artists committed to fostering creativity and engaging with diverse audiences. I look forward to sharing my work with this community and contributing to the gallery's dynamic presence in the artistic landscape.
