Expressive colorist painter, a student of Stamos at Columbia and NYU. Stamos was the friend of Rothko. For 30+ years I have developed my use of color as it interacts with abstract form, often working more or less from the grid, creating a visceral impact in the viewer. Since coming to Eastport in 2005, I have used the natural beauty of the sea and its environs and created smaller paintings. During the Covid lockdown I seriously took up watercolor using flowers as beauty but creating compositions of form and color arrangements.
