Hearts for the Arts Valentines Show & Online Auction
The Hearts for the Arts Valentine Show and online silent auction is open to ALL artists. You don't need to be physically in Eastport or be a member of the Eastport Gallery to join the fun. We were unable to offer Paint Eastport Day in 2020 so we look forward to presenting this alternative to help brighten the winter.
How to Submit Art to the Online Auction
Participants may submit up to three pieces. The only requirement is that there must be a heart somewhere on the work. It could be a heart themed piece, it could be a tiny heart hidden somewhere in a landscape or an abstract, or it could be the word "heart" somewhere on the work. All mediums encouraged.

Artists are responsible for shipping to winning bidders, including shipping costs. USPS Priority Flat Rate shipping is recommended: $8 for a 9"x12" padded envelope, including tracking.
Eastport area artists wishing to submit pieces not easily shipped may specify local delivery only, which could limit potential buyers.
Eastport area artists: Please note in your email if you would like to deliver your work to the Gallery for display in a Valentine window display from February 1st through 14th. This is optional, but very welcome!
Paint Eastport Day is the annual fundraiser for the Eastport Gallery but was cancelled in 2020. The Gallery was able to open our doors for two months in 2020 but with very limited days/hours. The Hearts for the Arts Auction will help the Gallery mitigate the operating expenses of the Gallery as we head into 2021.
Auction proceeds are the same as Paint Eastport Day: 70% to artist, 30% to Eastport Gallery. (Artist is responsible for shipping or arranging local delivery if possible).
How to BID in the Silent Auction
The Auction will open as a Facebook Page on Monday February 1st, and will close at midnight on Sunday, February 14th.
Each piece of art is posted separately.
Bidders will post their bids as comments. The final and highest bidder will win the artwork.
Winning bidders and artists will be sent payment and shipping instructions via Facebook Messenger on Monday, Feb 15th.
